Founder's Day Special: Sarah's Trunk Presentation with the Pound House In-Person

Join us to learn about the history and meaning of Dripping Springs Founder’s Day and the people who helped shape our community. Discover the story of Sarah Pound and the historic Pound House, and how this remarkable woman and her family played an important role in the early days of Dripping Springs.

This program will explore the legacy of the Pound family, the significance of the Pound House, and why we continue to celebrate Founder’s Day today.

We will also have a trunk filled with historical artifacts to explore. Children ages 8 and up can participate in hands-on pioneer activities, including butter making, to experience a bit of what life was like in early Texas.

This program is open to all ages and is a wonderful opportunity for families and community members to connect with the history of Dripping Springs.
