Foraging Wild Edible Plants with Mark "Merriwether" Vorderbruggen at Ranch Park! In-Person
Humans have lived in Texas for over 10,000 years, most of which was without grocery stores. The landscape was and still is filled with edible plants and mushrooms that provided calories, nutrients, and seasonings to meals. Come join internationally recognized foraging instructor Dr. Mark "Merriwether" Vorderbruggen on a walkabout at Ranch Park to learn how to make your Thanksgiving wild! Students will learn how to properly identify and utilize food found growing all around us, coming away with a deeper connection to nature and increased food security. There's food everywhere.
*When you arrive at Ranch Park you will first need to sign in at the facility before heading out on the walkabout with Mark
